I moved to Colorado where I taught creative writing at a small college. he rambled on, and then, surprise, asked me about my life. as far as I was concerned, he was still the same szymanski just like he was when I lived in Chicago.

I wasn’t eager to get involved in his personal life, but out of curiosity, I asked what he was doing living in Colorado. asking a question like that and expecting a succinct answer from szymanski wasn’t going to happen.
