- noun Tapeless Workflow is a concept adopted and used at audiovisual companies and specifically at broadcasting TV stations where the operating process of production does not use any magnetic recoding media. Tapes are avoided at the full process and from camera recording, passing through editing, postproducing until transmission audiovisual information is absolutely managed as a pc file. Unfortunately, not all TV stations worlwide have tapeless workflows instead are using hibrid and mixed schemes due to multiformat technology. Nevertheless industry is pushing forward adopting this new working concept as technology providers are developing products toward this standard.
