  • Robert reviewed another bunch from here like The Extra, Pleasure Model, Horns, Jade Man, The Conqueror's Shadow, Hundred Thousand plus the two novels released in the UK last year Deas and Redick some reviews up, some tbp and I think Cindy will review David Coe's novel so we will have a good varied coverage

  • Note: From the Longlist, I also read "Brooklyn" by Colm Toibin (FBC Review) and "How to Paint a Dead Man" by Sarah Hall (FBC Review tbp) and I loved both quite a lot so I was sad they did not make the cut.

    The Man Booker 2009 Shortlist

  • One of my favorite sff authors of recent times Gary Gibson, author of the superb standalones "Angel Stations" and "Against Gravity" and the trilogy opener "Stealing Light" has just handed in his third Dakota Merrick installment "Empire of Light" tbp 2010 to and the publisher is graciously allowing us the fans to choose from one of the two covers below:

  • Michael Sullivan is the author of the wonderful six book fantasy series The Ryria Revelations of which the first three installments - The Crown Conspiracy (FBC Rv), Avemapartha (FBC Rv), Nyphron Rising (FBC Rv tbp) - are out and the next two installments - The Emerald Storm and Wintertide - are on track for 2010 publication and both feature on my "2010 Anticipated Books" list.

  • This one is another highly awaited book for me based on the above and Robert's review tbp later this week; he was more mixed on it because he felt it has too many things thrown in the pot so to speak.

  • I have seen some tbp Wizards of the Coast omnibus book, but haven't noticed them use the trade paper size for a single book.
