  • noun A sulphur-colored compound, C15H9O3OCH3, prepared by the action of methyl iodide on chrysin and found in poplar-buds. It forms thick crystals and melts at 164° C. Also called chrysin methyl ether or 1,3-methoxyhydroxy-flavone.
