  • A family of fossil crocodiles, typified by the genus Teleosaurus, having a long narrow snout with terminal nostrils, the posterior nares bounded by the palatines (the pterygoids not being united below), and the vertebræ amphicœlous. They are characteristic of the Oölitic formation.
