I think the judges gave him some huge hints that he is cute and could be marketable in the tennybopper niche, not as a William Hung sort of campy laugh-fodder - but he needs to lay down chops to show he can at least sing in a stomachable manner to be made into a profitable product and he hasn't done that yet.
