- noun A thermograph to which a self-registering hygrometer is added The record is usually made on an enlarged scale by a pencil on paper attached to a revolving drum: in the Kew apparatus a wet-bulb thermometer and a dry bulb are placed near each other and their mercurial columns photographed continuously.
