• A tribe of polypetalous plants, of the order Menispermaceæ, characterized by flowers usually with three carpels, drupaceous in fruit, and containing a meniscoid albuminous seed with the cotyledons laterally divaricate. It includes 15 genera, of which Tinospora is the type.
