  • noun A cosmopolitan ptinid beetle, Lasioderma serricorne, which lives in all stages in many pungent spices and drugs, and is so fond of stored or manufactured tobacco as to become a pest in many manufactories and warehouses in the United States. Also called cigarette-beetle.
