transbordador

Can't Post | we will be travelling to mexico by car leaving from saskatchewan at the end of december. our initial plan was to go through the states from north dakota and down to texas, and then down through monterrey, guadalajara, and then end up in pv. it was also suggested to us to go through california instead, and down through the baja peninsula and then cross to pv on the transbordador (?). this will be our first trip driving there, so are unsure about the best route, the safest route, etc. any suggestions would be mucho appreciated. thanks!
