Worked fine. running kde4 here. .i created an empty folder, put 3 tar. bz2 archives in it, select them, click "extract archive here" and ark extracted all 3 of them successfully and i have no reason to believe it would not have done that with zip files or with 400 zipped files ... what version of kde are you running? are you sure your system has proper support for unarchiving zipped files?. .i think your reaction is unnecessarily over the top
