These can be dyed in medium or light shades on to unmordanted cotton from a bath containing alum, and in the ordinary method of dyeing the addition of alum is beneficial, as tending to result in the production of deep shades.
They may be combined with logwood, as they will dye with equal facility on mordanted and unmordanted wool.
