Given that "The Extra Man" could be described as a movie about a wannabe transvestite who moves in with an aging gigolo, it's relentlessly unwacky and even quietly subversive.

I guess what we're wondering is if the time has come to transfer the wacky ideas into the unwacky world occupied, and perhaps soon to be vacated, by those agencies with 'improvement' in their titles.
