  • noun A genus of geometrid moths, typical of the family Urapterygidæ, having the body moderately slender, the third joint of the palpi indistinct, the fore wings acute and triangular, and the hind wings with a caudiform angle on the exterior border. The species are found in tropical America, Asia, and Europe. U. sambucaria is the only European one.
