Not because I have a problem with "verbifying" nouns per se (I LIKE that English is a living language), but because "impact" as a verb was popularized by buzzword-spewing corporate-types.
Note that some of these, such as “torture,” are amply attested in noun form; Shakespeare is being credited here with verbifying them.
