#11 mine is capped at 100fps on an lcd theres something called vsync that caps it to your monitors refresh rate ... pretty easy to turn it off. don't post about computers until you know something

I'm able to run L4D at almost maxed settings (effect detail is set to medium while everything else is maxed out), 8 X AA and 16 X AF with little to no fps drop from 60 fps (note that I do have vsync on).

With vsync off, you may see tearing when the images are changing quickly-turning vsync on will keep the graphics card from running too fast and prevents these artifacts.
