A few years later I installed Mandrake on a system and it ran fine but I didn't keep it because I wasn't interested in a 'learning curve' at that point in my life. my first was mandrake 10.0 and i wasn't best pleased when it blew out the top end of my wharfedale speakers, turning the sound 'muddy'. the gnome desktop was confusing, as was the install procedure.

I might be much further along in my linuxness my first was mandrake 10.0 and i wasn't best pleased when it blew out the top end of my wharfedale speakers, turning the sound 'muddy'. the somewhere along this path and it irks me that i cannot recall the moment and place i found pclinuxos, i nevertheless stumbled upon the distribution destined to restore my computing pleasure and calm my temper. after years of railing impotently against windows, i noticed that i would go a whole day without yelling once.
