  • noun A grama-grass, Bouteloua eriopoda, found in dry gravelly soil from Texas to Arizona and in Mexico, distinguished from others of its genus by having the steins woolly toward the base. It withstands severe drought and is locally very valuable for grazing. More fully, woolly-foot grama.
