  • noun A genus of noctuid moths, of Guenée's family Acontidæ, comprising a few species inhabiting southern Europe, Asia, and Africa, whose metamorphoses are unknown. The fore wings are entire, usually rounded, and pale-yellow in color, with red or violet-brown markings.
