  • Also, i forgot to mention that many "xvid" or "divx" videos contain sound streams that were ripped differently and may not play on all players. since divx uses the popular avi file container it is often assumed that any avi is divx. although most are these days, it doesnt mean both the video and audio streams are compatible with the player. pc users can create avi files with greatly differing video and audio formats in them. so basically if you want to be sure that your player will play the videos you burn, you must ensure that all those videos were created using formats and versions that are fully compatible with your player. fortunately, as I mentioned, most videos do seem to work on these divx players and I have played ones from six years ago till now that work great.
