According to the chittamatra or “mind-only” tenets, also known as vijnanavada or yogachara, objects of sensory cognition are devoid of being substantially different from the sensory consciousness of them -- both derive from the same seed of karma on the alayavijnana, foundational mind or “storehouse consciousness.”
