  • You don't think using 3d and motion capture isn't unnecessary to bring out a character only realized on paper.. when you have 2d animation... which IS on paper? fanboy_d i'm saying spielberg is embracing the surreality of mo-cap as using it to his advantage, whilst zemeckis is attempting to replicate something that could be easily achieved, and far better realised, using conventional methods. jpegfilms

  • But I'm sure you wouldn't know that because you haven't seen any of the footage. kjell well said fanboy_d nothing that zemeckis has done with motion capture has advanced storytelling, he's not using mo-cap in a revolutionary way! wheras james cameron and peter jackson are incorporating it into real footage to create characters that couldn't physically exist otherwise, zemeckis is using it as a wholesale replacement of traditional filmmaking. it sucks. it's like showing you grandparents how to text message you, and then they refuse to communicate with you by any other method. someone
