Rogen actually believes his job is to come in, rearrange the furniture and 'jewicize' the script based on the industry-wide myth that jews know funny, that dialogues must be retooled with "inside humor" which those outside the tribe wont get. its getting to the point where the product is exclusively for a kosher audience. i mean, "you dont mess with the zohan" bombed for a reason people. a lot of people just dont get that stuff. real actors tone down their ego and submit to a scribe's vision to the letter, selflessly. but because kevin smith knows he is making a "seth rogen comedy" and that this is how most people will categorize it, including Rogen himself, hence Rogen's meddling to Apatowise it.
