The word “zymoglyphic,” while not a real word, nevertheless has a definition (of course it does) that is printed and attached to the wall of the museum in a kind effort to explain what, exactly, is going on here. The definition is “1. of, or pertaining to, images of fermentation, specifically the solid residue of creative fermentation on natural objects. 2. The collection and arrangement of objects, primarily either natural or weathered by natural forces, for poetic effect.”
