AnthonyFaulkes commented on the word syncresis
syncresis appears to be a misspelling (or alternative spelling) of the anglicisation of the Greek word sunkrisis (σύγκρισις), the basic meaning of which is 'aggregation, combination'. The spelling with e instead of i may be due to the influence of the word syncretism.
