  • The definition here is wrong. The Kaurna people are far from extinct. Kaurna people are alive and well. Their language nearly became extinct but was revived thanks to the work of Lewis O'Brian (a Kaurna elder) and others.

    I should note that although the Kaurna language is not extinct it is also not a living in language in that as far as I understand it is a second language for those that speak it. More information on the language can be found here;
