Trashification was used in a recent stand-up act by Jerry Seinfeld on the Tonight Show. He also used the less elegant, "crapification". Both of these words referred to the practice of what happens to any new item/object that we purchase and bring into our home. As the item slowly loses its usefulness and priority in our lives, it is relegated to a cabinet, then a closet, then the garage and ultimately the garbage. So all objects in our homes are in various stages of trashification.
