  • As I understand it the word comes from the Greek god for wind and the "ist" makes it a person. An aeolist would be one who is a bit of a wind bag feigning creativity or even brilliance.

    "She was an aeolist, a bit of a know-it-all who was really a 'know-nothing' and didn't let the facts get in the way of creating a good theory."
