  • Few mainland Americans accent or pronounce Kilauea like the Hawaiians do in their native language, but a BBC commentator reporting on the new eruption aired 3/7, and 3/8, 2011, did an admirable job - the IPA version is ˈkiːlɔuˈwɛjə.
