  • Why do Wordnik list names under the new "Recent WotD Lists" heading fall under a light gray subheading called "Name (subscribers)"? Will Wordie/Wordnik contributors be made to subscribe/pay/supply personal data to Wordnik in order to use it's features in the future? Is a scheme for monetization of the content being contemplated and lurking in the wings? I'd quite dislike paying for contributing to this site's heretofore plebian and democratic metadata. Moreover, I'd likely feel I'd been taken and used. Please tell me I'm chasing a conspiracy theory here.

  • You're chasing a conspiracy theory! I'm sure "subscribers" refers to the number of users "subscribed" to that list, i.e. receving updates from it.

  • Oops - hadn't read comments on feedback, sorry.

  • I *heart* the "subscribe" to email feature for our individual lists. All the gas has burst from the conspiracy balloon for now. Thanks, everybody for setting me straight!
