Nonstatic phenomena (mi-rtag-pa, Skt. anitya, impermanence).
An entity is transient (anitya) from the stand point of its modifications (paryaya).
We observe their constant changing, and the constant changing of everything they affect, and thus we realize the nonstaticness (mi-rtag-pa, Skt. anitya, Pali: anicca, impermanence) of all affecting variables (‘dus-byas, Skt. samskara, Pali: sankhara, conditioned phenomena).
Thus the Buddha's teaching that all entities are anitya comes to affirm the Mahâyâna teaching that all entities are devoid of substantial existence "(Rospatt 2002: 15-16).
