  • Charles A. Mueller has suggested this term to describe such two-word rhyming phrases as hocus-pocus, funny money, and fat cat. He seemed to believe there was a lexical gap that needed filling; given the lack of general uptake of his coinage, not everyone seems to agree.

  • I agree with Mueller. I play this game while out walking with my daughter. But then again, there's nothing really wrong with calling it "the rhyme game".
