  • For a couple of years I dated a man who stuttered when he was particularly nervous. He worked very hard to overcome it, but it weighed very heavily on him, and perhaps because his problem wasn't constant, people who otherwise could be very sensitive of people's feelings tended to make fun of him for it. Having a stutter, even part of the time, is no fun.
