  • hydrostasis is a term created by Richard Phillips on Oct.28, 2016 referring to a new type of self sufficient gardening. The system is composed of a solar panel, powering a water pump which places water in a 5" PVC pipe 10' long.

A series of 10 - 5" holes are cut out of the top, and the channel is flooded with water nutrient plant food, with pod of vegetables encased in the pods.

The nutrient water fills the pvc to the top, allowing the plants to absorb its food and sunlight for all day. The next day the water is drained back into a tub and refreshed, and then the pvc pipe is filled back up.

This unique design allows conservation of electricity, and provides a healthy growing climate for veggies.
