In the Andean city of Cuzco, Luis Sumar Kalinowski has created a seeder capable of handling kiwicha, whose seeds are as small as sand grains.
Luis Sumar has already created a simple machine for doing this in the case of kiwicha.
Three grains were also researched: kaniwa (Chenopodium pallidicaule), a nutritious grain with 16-19% protein; kiwicha (Amaranthus caudatus), with good quality protein high in lysine; and quinoa (Chenopodium quinoa), a better - known protein source.
"We have achieved to place our products including pisco on international markets, but also kiwicha, sweet potatoes and traditional Peruvian potatoes", said Brack.
