  • In the spirit of RFCs, this is the place for Requests For Lists. Some people have an hankering to make lists. Other people really want a list on a certain topic, or contributions to their public lists. Here is where the twain shall meet.

I'll kick it off: I'd really appreciate contributions to Down on the Farm, my just-created list of farm and agriculture-related words.

  • Wordies: Is there a list called something like "Here Fishy!"? I'd like to start a list of words having to do with "harvesting" our piscine friendlies, but don't necessarily care to duplicate some else's work.

  • hernesheir, I like that! Whichbe has a great list called Underwaterritory, but that's more about diving than fishing. And she has a great one too, Fishful thinking, but again that's more general fishiness than fishing itself. Tally ho, I say!

  • I had a bunch of words about commercial fishing, but I think they are subsumed into another list (Learned or Encountered in Reading, perhaps?). Someday when I have time (HA HAHAHA!!!!), I'll figure it out and separate them.

  • I think there should be lists on various topics (perhaps not “favorites? as that tends to make hard decisions even harder) with an artificial word maximum, so that if you want to add for example an eleventh word to a 10-words-max. list, you first have to delete another.
