  • noun In entomology, a mass of stiff hairs like a brush; specifically, masses of bristly hairs on the outside of the tibiæ and tarsi, or on the lower surface of the abdomen, of many bees, used to collect and carry grains of pollen which become entangled in them. Also called pollen-brush and sarothrum.
