  • I have an inordinate affection for this word, which just means 'spreadable' in Spanish. It manages to mislead me every time. Despite the contextual clues - it's right there on the BUTTER package, for crying out loud - I am invariably led to think of resolutions at the United Nations, or some bizarre class of non-furniture of the mind ....
