  • To discuss the effects that changes in pressure or temperature may have on equilibrium conditions in chemical systems, we must now belatedly introduce fundamental thermodynamic quantities, other than molar free energy, such as molar volume, entropy and enthalpy. We do so by relying on intuitive and molecular interpretations, a convenient if very "unthermodynamic" palliative.
