  • The "windfucker", also known as a "fuckwind", is a small falcon or kestrel. First recorded use of the word was in 1599 according to the OED:

    The kistrilles or windfuckers that filling themselues with winde, fly against the winde euermore.

    They were believed to engorge themselves with air to stay aloft and so were occasionally called windsuckers as well.
