  • "Tiddlywinks" in Russian. (Pronunciation--maybe--is "igra v bloshki.")

  • игра в блошки would be better, you're right about the pronunciation. Means something like 'playing in beetles' I think. Rolig, help!

  • The word "bloshki" (блошки) is the diminuative form of "blokhi" (блохи), which means "flea"; "bloshki" means literally "little fleas", but my Russian dictionary has a separate entry for the word, which it defines as "small bone discs that jump when one presses on their edge". Sounds like a tiddlywink to me. The "v" (в) (which normally means "in" or "into") is idiomatic in the context of "playing". In Russian, for example, "the action of playing football" is "igra v futbol" (игра в футбол), an "playing chess" is "igra v shakhmaty" (игра в шахматы). So I would translate this simply as "playing tiddlywinks" or, more archly, "playing 'little fleas'".

But Chained_Bear, when you co'pied and pa'sted this, you seem to have inclu'ded a'ccent marks, which are sho'wing up on my screen as blank squares. Pro'bably you took this from some mu'ltili'ngual di'ctionary, which put the marks there to help non-Ru'ssians pronou'nce the word. But no'rmal Ru'ssian does not use a'ccent marks, so I reccome'nd you use the link Bi'lby provi'ded.
