- Kutuzov, Mikhail Ilarionovich. Prince of Smolensk. 1745-1813. Russian field marshal who distinguished himself in the wars against Turkey (1770-1774 and 1787-1791) and commanded (1805-1812) the Russian opposition to Napoleon.
