  • proper n. An incorrect term sometimes used for the Devanagari writing script used for writing several Indian languages, including Sanskrit, Hindi, Marathi, Kashmiri, Sindhi, Bihari, Bhili, Konkani, and Bhojpuri. It is also used to write Nepali in Nepal.
