abigail The Eskimo Pie, a tasty combination of ice cream wrapped in chocolate, was invented by Christian Kent Nelson. Nelson claimed that he experimented with different ways to adhere melted chocolate to bricks of ice cream after a boy in his candy store was unable to decide whether to spend his money on ice cream or a chocolate bar. Nelson initially sold his invention under the name "I-Scream Bars," but in 1921 joined with local chocolate producer Russell C. Stover to mass-produce them under the trademark "Eskimo Pie".
