Nymphicus

Sexing Nymphicus hollandicus is easy among the natural gray variety: the males have yellow faces and bright orange cheeks and the females have gray faces and muted orange cheeks.

Both birds passed the Depot in migrating, and Nymphicus was the last bird we saw to the north of the Stony Desert, in lat. 24 1/2 degrees and long. 138 degrees, on its return to the province in September.
