Re: YM's comment quoting the Shulhan Aruch and Mishnah B'rurah about wetting matzah to eat it at the seder, I can attest to having heard Rav Mordechai Eliyahu in more than one shiur on hilchot Pesah advise doing exactly that for anyone whose 'infirmity' might prevent them from eating matzah within an acceptable amount of time for the mitzvah during the seder.
