What I like about it is that it grows easily, responds well to a bit of clipping (once a year) and can be grown as a tall hedge -- just the sort of "green screen" we were looking for, and such a perfect blend with evergreen Viburnum Tinus ... variegated Eleagnus, a large and pretty Pittosporum, and some simple acid-green griselinias (latest additions planted 5 years ago and doing very well).
