I have a different issue that i need to add my option e.g. "SourceSafe" in the lookin dropdown of open Dialog. and on seletction of this link i will get the list of files from sourcesafe and load them on the open dialog for the user to select.

Since it is team project, I suggest you use Visual SourceSafe which is used for general team project.

In the Browse dialog, on the left-hand side, there's an icon that looks like a safe and says 'SourceSafe'; click on it to choose a Source Safe Database and then a Source-Controlled project.
