  • In Woodward's classification, a family of cystidean echinoderms which have a compressed calyx, the sides of which are dissimilarly plated, generally with two free arms and a short stem. They occur in rocks of Cambrian and Silurian age. Properly, in uncontracted form, Anomalocystitidæ.
