This reminds me a little of bisteeya, the chicken pie, that is I think Moroccan.
This is outside my home city but still in my state - this is a gem in country Victoria - a mix of Mediterranean and middle eastern flavours - a must have is the pigeon bisteeya.
I am seriously intrigued by the bisteeya: a savory pie dusted with sugar sounds exotic and tempting.
